OliveNation Organic Ground Saigon Cinnamon, also known as Vietnamese cinnamon, is a variant of Cassia found in Vietnam. This variety is known for its concentrated, bold spice flavor and aroma, and is the preferred choice in recipes where cinnamon is the signature flavor. Use our organic Saigon cinnamon powder for classics such as baked cinnamon rolls, snickerdoodle cookies, pumpkin or apple pies, and candy with a traditional hot spicy kick. The potent, concentrated formulation makes this variety a perfect finishing garnish for beverages as well as adding depth to dishes such as chili, soups, and stews. Bulk ground Saigon cinnamon is a must for commercial bakers, chefs, confectioners, and foodservice applications, as a little goes a long way for adding flavor and aroma. This finely powdered spice is a key ingredient in Vietnamese pho and other specialty dishes. The pungent, aromatic spice is spicy/hot and slightly bittersweet, medium golden brown in color, ground to a fine texture.

Please Note: Contains coumarin, a naturally occurring organic compound found in some plants, including some cinnamon varieties. While this natural compound is commonly used in a variety of modern pharmaceuticals, fragrances, and medications, when taken in large amounts coumarin can potentially cause health damage. Ceylon Cinnamon contains minimal amounts (0.02 to 0.04 mg per gram), while Cassia varieties contain significantly higher amounts ranging from 1% to 8% by mass. Saigon Cinnamon contains the highest level of coumarin of the Cassia varieties.
